Now You See Me

I remember your face, but you won’t remember mines.

Always being in the same place, at the same time.

Having the same exact friends.

But yet you never see me, why is that?

Living in the same neighborhood.

Going to the same events around town.

Yet I’m still invisible to you, Why is that?

Years later, I’m older and wiser.

I’m doing well for myself and there you are.

Pretending that we’ve known each other for years.

You know my name, but I don’t recall ever telling you.

I look at you in confusion, and whisper to myself.

Now you see me?
